<p><strong>You get the SSH files, full instructions,  useful tools, and DD-WRT V24 Beta</strong></p>
<p>Well, this is the second time typing this because it timed out on me and I freaked out!!! so it may be a little simpler.</p>
<p>Basically, connect your PC directly to your La Fonera Router, use either a cross over cable or a standard one. set your PC network card to</p>
<p>IP: 169.X.X.X ie: 169.1.1.1 and the Subnet to the default: 255.255.0.0.</p>
<p>once that is set wait for the error that says that you have limited or no connectivity open your Firefox and connect to:</p>
<p>http://169.254.255.1/   (<a href="http://stefans.datenbruch.de/lafonera/" target="_blank">Reference</a>)</p>
<p><img src="http://cyberzerocool.com/media/fonlimited.JPG" alt="Limited Connection" width="196" height="67" /></p>
<p>Once connected you will be prompted for a user name and password, use the following,</p>
<p><span id="more-5"></span></p>
<p>User: root</p>
<p>Pass: root</p>
<p>or  admin</p>
<p>From there you can change the language, the IP settings, SSID&#8217;s for the secure &amp; public AP, the security settings for the secure AP.  It should look like:</p>
<p> </p>
<div><a href="http://www.cyberzerocool.com/content/view/15/41/images/fonsettings.jpg" target="_blank"><img title="Fon GUI" src="http://cyberzerocool.com/media/fonsettings.jpg" alt="Fon GUI" width="400" height="243" /></a></div>
<p> Here is an image of what the SSID&#8217;s look like (&#8220;Joe&#8217;s Network&#8221; is my other AP):</p>
<p align="center"><a title="Fon APs" href="http://www.cyberzerocool.com/content/view/15/41/images/fonaps.jpg" target="_blank"><img title="Fon APs" src="http://cyberzerocool.com/media/fonaps.jpg" alt="Fon APs" width="400" height="301" /></a></p>
